I am Jess - the designer, maker, cleaner, marketer, and website builder, behind JKH Ceramics. I am very passionate about making unique functional ceramic pieces, that can be enjoyed, by you, every single day. As a coffee lover (albeit decaf) and a foodie, I really appreciate not just food and drink but what it is served in/on as well.

I am drawn to blues and greens, and this palette features heavily in my work. I love the sea, and with my studio based in Brighton, I’m never far from it. I take inspiration from the Sussex coastline and water in general. As you will see in my store, I do not just limit myself to this, and also love experimenting with different glazes, shapes and sizes. Some work, some do not but this is the joy of ceramics. The thrill is in the experimentations.
